About NZ Careers

New Zealand Careers Limited (NZC) was established in 2012 to help employers find suitable candidates for the Canterbury Rebuild in the wake of the Christchurch earthquake. Since its conception, it has been instrumental in the placement of skilled migrant workers in positions that could not be fulfilled by the local workforce alone. It has naturally expanded to other sectors such as farming and health where vacancies have been difficult to fill. NZC is committed to delivering high standards of work and works closely with her clients to ensure their needs and desires are met. NZC prides itself in ensuring they recruit the best candidates for your business so that the work delivered is of the highest quality standard.

NZC works closely with FernLaw to make sure that applications for overseas candidates are compliant with New Zealand Labour Law and immigration.

Rodesa Fernando

Managing Director

Rodesa is the Managing Director of NZC. She has a solid background in recruitment and Human Resources. The business has been built on her core values of trust, timeliness, transparency and delivery. 


Rodesa works closely with her clients to understand their needs, desired goals and outcomes for their respective projects. She has the ability to think outside the box in order to achieve the desired results for her clients. 


Rodesa is an excellent communicator and ensures that her clients are kept in the loop during the entire recruitment process locally and internationally.

Rusky Peralta

Auckland Branch Manager

Rusky is the Auckland Branch Manager of NZC. He has 10 years of professional work experience specializing in Business Development, Account Management, Customer Service, Sales & Marketing.

He is highly trained in B2B relationships with an in-depth understanding of market trends, excellent negotiator, and has strong planning and implementation capabilities.

Rusky is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operations of the branch including managing and supervising employees, maintaining long term client relationships and providing excellent customer service.

Plivia Alaba

Christchurch Branch Manager

Plivia joined the team in 2020, bringing with her a strong background in networking, branding, marketing and development. She is passionate about helping people and takes great pride in providing the highest level of service to both clients and candidates.
She has a passion for enriching the quality of life within a community and is thrilled to experience that same passion at New Zealand Careers, where the work is not just about being at the cutting edge of the recruitment industry, but about fostering a community. Plivia shares her energy outside of work by participating in sports and community events, volunteering for various charities and spending time outdoors with her family.

Muskan Nanda

Auckland Branch Account Manager 

Muskan is the Account Manager of Auckland Branch. She has 5 years of professional work experience being an Account Manager from various industries making her flexible and effective in managing his portfolio of clients.

She graduated with a Diploma in Business Informatics and Diploma in Computing giving her an excellent grasp in business processes, management, and administrative work.
Muskan’s role plays an integral part to branch as she continues to thrive to improve the business processes, implement effective customer relationship management and contribute to the growth of the business.

Bernadette Antiporta

HR Administrator

Bernadette is the head of HR and the administration department of NZC. Her career background is expansive with 20 years of experience in HR, sales and administration, both in New Zealand and the Philippines.
With an extensive background in HR she handles employment relations. She is attentive to the needs of the workers and ensures that employment matters including legal documentation, time sheets, necessary work equipment etc. are taken care of. Furthermore, she strives to make sure the employers and clients work together harmoniously.

 Jecel Pantua

Auckland Branch Admin & HR Assistant

Jecel is the HR Administrator in our Auckland Office.


Her responsibilities include presenting suitable applicants CV's to the managing director and/or client for interviews, management of overseas employment administration & exit clearance and pre-departure orientation.


Jecel works closely with Rusky and Muskan to ensure the best applicants are recruited for the job. She is also in constant communication with FernLaw so that all immigration and legal matters are dealt with in a timely manner.
